FABSO Facilitator Training Course (FFTC)

The FABSO Facilitator Training Course is designed to mould the best faculty to teach in FABSO's academies and act as facilitators of the FABSO virtual learning system. The course aims to develop theoretical based as well as practical skills with respect to effective teaching and institutional administration through sessions led by expert faculty. In addition to the secondary and higher secondary school level subjects prescribed by the Government of Kerala for English / Malayalam medium, comprehensive training in Educational Psychology, Teaching Methodology, School Management, IT, English Communication, Malayalam, Professional Ethics, Time Management, Leadership etc is planned.

Syllabus

Besides English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Social Science, Educational Psychology, Teaching Methodology, School Management, ICT, English Communication, Malayalam, Teaching Aid Development, Science Experiments, the syllabus covers topics like time management, stress management, professional ethics and values. Candidates with Degree may choose upto two subjects for training.

Course Duration

Candidates who have completed their degree in any subject, cleared the written test and interview of FABZO and are given training at the selected district centers. Five days of training will be given to those who have completed B Ed and 15 days of training to those who have only degree. Those with PG will be considered for higher secondary level through bridge course. Training will be arranged on holidays. Training timing is from 10 am to 4 pm.

Faculty

The classes will be lead by trainers who are experts in various subjects. The faculty will have competence and knowledge in their respective subjects, expertise in teaching strategies, research orientation, punctuality, dedication and ICT proficiency etc.

Selection

Applications are invited for teacher training every year in the month of November. The exam and interview will be conducted in the first week of December and the rank list will be published by December 15. The syllabus for exam includes Teaching Aptitude, Teaching Methodology, Educational Psychology, Reasoning Ability, Language Skill and General Awareness. Cash prize of Rs 5000, Rs 3000 and Rs 1500 each along with mementos and certificates will be given to those who secure first, second and third rank in the examination. Those who complete the training are graded based on the test and evaluation conducted by FABZO and accordingly course certificates are issued. Fees are to be paid for examination and training as fixed by the Academic Board.

Opportunities and recognitions

Teachers who complete the course are known as Fabzo Facilitators. They can get course certificate and get employment in FABZO centers. Also there is an opportunity to work as Chief Facilitator of FABZO virtual learning. There is also an opportunity to take a leadership role by admitting a maximum of 200 students in the online course in various classes. Academy Coordinator (HS, HSS) posts can be obtained through three days of special training. For those completing the training ID Card, Service Register and Tag are issued. Fabzo aims to provide excellent service and offers an attractive remuneration package. Field trip and study tour are also part of the training. Mementos and recognition certificates are given every year on the district basis to evaluate the performance of the teachers.
